Hanzo "Scorpion" Hasashi, (藏半藏 Hasashi Hanzo), is the leader of a prominent clan of Japanese ninjas called the Shirai Ryu (Kanji: 白井流, "Style/Flow of the White Well"). Scorpion was made to believe that the Elder Sub-Zero, Bi-Han killed the Shirai Ryu along with Scorpion's family. It wouldn't be until much later that it was Quan Chi who was responsible.
